Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actor since the late 1980s. in the television and film industry, she's known for her awards and nominations. Bassett was brought up by her aunt in Winston-Salem North Carolina. She was born and grew up at home in New York New York. Bassett's mother had split from her father at around five. Her younger sister then went to St. Petersburg Florida with their mother. Bassett, while in high-school, saw John Steinbeck's play Of Mice and Men with James Earl Jones and she was inspired to be an actor. Yale University New Haven Connecticut gave her a bachelor's degree (1980), in African American study, and an advanced degree (1983) in the Yale School of Drama. She dated Courtney B. Vance, another actress from Yale and they married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. at Yale's School of Drama. granted a Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in the year. She attended the school following: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th and 9th grades in addition to Boca Ciega High School.
